Judging

The experience and talents for the judging panels for the Home Care Awards will range from association and institutional heads, medical / clinical experts, therapists, key suppliers, marketing, IT and telecommunications providers, to nursing and specialist care experts and others with operations, management or financial expertise.

Expert groups of up to four judges per category will judge the Home Care Awards. They will be chosen for their experience and will vote independently for the entry they think is best in a given category. Their combined votes will be added together to find a winner in each category.

No judge is allowed to vote for any entry with which they have had a past or current involvement. If a judge is also an executive of a sponsor company they are not allowed to vote for any entries in the category they are sponsoring.

Judging groups may judge more than one category. This will be because their expertise is broad enough, or because the category criteria are similar. Sometimes a group may judge only one category, but it will probably be a category with more entries.

There will be two stages to the judging: the first will ensure entries meet the criteria for entry and standard of submission; the second stage will decide the places in each category. High Commendations will only be awarded to companies that run a very close second to the Winner.

The judges’ decisions will be arrived at independently and will be final. No correspondence will be entered into concerning the judges’ decisions and the names of the judges may not be released until after voting has been completed.

Please note: all judges will sign non-disclosure agreements before being given access to any entry. This is in keeping with the organisers’ clear intent to maintain high levels of confidentiality. If, for instance, an entrant wishes to embargo certain information because of its commercial sensitivity, then provided the material is clearly marked as confidential, any material subject to an embargo will not be published.

The Home Care Awards will need senior level judges from across the home care sector. If you are interested in becoming a judge for the Home Care Awards, please send a short form CV by email to Matthew Davies.
