A Day to Remember

 

Friday May 24, 2019 was an unforgettable day for the Winner and High Commendation award recipients at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington High Street, London W8 4PT, as the gallery of photos proves.

 

Reception began at 12 noon in the Foyer to the Palace Suite.

Lunch was served from 1.00pm.

The Royal Garden Hotel is renowned for the quality of its food and the three-course lunch lived up to expectations. The full menu is shown below, including the vegetarian options and the wines to be served.

 

Menu

Albacore tuna, shallots, baby gem lettuce, tomato, cooked red peppers, French beans, quail eggs, Dijon mustard, crème fraîche, chives, black olives and sour dough crostini

Tuna will be replaced with portobello mushroom

Roasted breast and braised leg croquette of Barbary duck,
with dauphinoise potatoes, mushroom caramel and English asparagus

Herb potato gnocchi, asparagus, broad beans, celeriac,
sun blushed tomatoes, pine nuts, lemon, oil and Parmesan shavings

Lemon pannacotta with sambuca macerated Scottish raspberries and Madagascan vanilla tuille

The Awards were presented after lunch during a ceremony that lasted 45 minutes, finishing by 3.15pm.

Hosting the Awards was Adrienne Lawler (best known for her work with the BBC, SKY and ITV, anchoring news programmes, as well as lighter consumer-based shows. Also a successful business woman, Adrienne presents on a variety of subjects with knowledge and experience).

Both category Winners and High Commendations were invited on stage to receive their awards. Photographs of each recipient were taken and will made available online as quickly as possible, allowing for the Bank Holiday.
